Everyday seems bleak and mundane to those who live for themselves, who live for the weekend, and/or live in a world that seems meaningless. At the end of the day the world is empty, at the end of the weekend some sort of tension remains, and at the end of our lives what will we have to show for it all?? If you stumbled to our site searching for something more…listen quietly. Let this message of hope soak into your soul.
You were created for a purpose. There is meaning in your existence. The Creator of this world formed you and thought of you before you were born! Your days have been laid out by a Being far more superior than you (Psalm 139). There is a kingdom that is noble and pure based on righteousness and ultimate worth. You can have a part in something much greater than yourself! But… you have to make a choice.
The tension you feel is separation between you and God because left to our own desires and passions, we will always choose our way instead of the ways of our Creator (Romans 3:10). Since the beginning of God and man’s relationship, man chose temporal satisfaction over the truly satisfying ways of God, causing a sin cycle passed on to every human being since Adam (Psalm 51:5). Sin is the absence of God in our lives. Just as the absence of light is dark. We seem to believe we know what will satisfy us while God quietly waits for us to realize that His plan for our lives and our obedience to His will always yield joy!
Because of our sin (absence of God), a sacrifice needed to be made to allow us to touch a perfectly holy and righteous God. So, God sent to Earth a part of Him that demonstrated His unconditional love—His Son Jesus Christ (Romans 5:8). According to Jewish law, sacrifices that were spotless and without blemish were required to pay for sins committed against God (Exodus 12:5). So, the sacrifice of God required perfection and holiness while simultaneously being able sympathize with our pain and strife (1 Peter 1:9). Jesus was fully God and fully man. In order to fulfill these requirements, He lived among man speaking hope to those blind, lame, and searching. He died one of the most brutal Roman deaths as recorded by history, His death on a cross securing a future for us in the kingdom of God (1 Peter 2:9). We have a future!! No longer do we have struggle with our existence! A way to God exists in Jesus. Read I John in the Bible and ask God to reveal Himself to you, asking Him to forgive you for the offenses you have committed against Him. No matter what you have done or where you have been, realize that He is waiting for you! Christ has already paid for your sins! Make Him Lord over your life—live for His kingdom and deny the past kingdoms that have enslaved you.
